If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it again. If un-installation of all programme associated with DigitalPersona, Biometric and Java fail to solve the problem, format the system or restore to it factory setting before proceeding to step 1.

Reinstalled the driver for Biometrics according to Dell Support website It wouldn't finish installing and now it can't detect the finger scanner at all.The. Uninstalled DigitalPersona completely and reinstalled it hello, I'm having problems installing Digital persona personal 4.11. He may have deleted certain items in the Device Manager (without telling me what he was doing or why, which annoyed me seeing how the DigitalPersona started to not work after). But after testing to see if it was something with the driver, the DigitalPersona stopped working (at least that is around the time it seemed to stop working). The problem turned out to be a hardware issue so they sent someone over to replace it and it worked fine.

The problem began when a Dell Technician did a Dell Connect and played around with drivers while trying to fix a problem I was having with my webcam. Hi everyone, i'm trying to install the digitalpersona fingerprint driver using driver wizard, the problem is, the fingerprint reader works fine before installing with driver wizard means you can still tab your finger on the reader and it responds well but after driver wizard completed the installation, the fingerprint reader is not functioned. Enter the full model number, and then press Search.

I believe it is a 64 bit operating system (at least that's what it claims under My Computer properties). As you mentioned you have issues using fingerprint reader on your PC. If it helps I have a Dell Studio 17 that came with Windows Vista, but I upgraded to Windows 7 (DigitalPersona still worked after this). Not a big deal, but if I paid for the service I'd like to actually use it. this issue you can find a fingerprint scanner that utilizes Digital Personas. Biometrics works and I can log into Windows with my fingerprint, but DigitalPersona won't work, which means I can't use my fingerprint to log into websites. Application using DigitalPersona 4500 Fingerprint Scanner on Windows. If anyone can please help me with this I'd appreciate it. I have read many other forums and message boards, contacted Dell, and other ways to remedy this and all have been unhelpful.
